Quick News

After years of frantic activity for small base of our clients and mainly developing the same projects by adding more functionality - we finally decided to expand a bit and search for jobs actively through developers networks.

First we have decided to test elance.com network which is very popular both amongst developers and clients. We are preparing ourselves to bid for 4 small projects in August and if things go well we gonna attack larger projects next month.

We aim to focus on server administration related jobs in the beginning with some PHP, MySQL development and later take over some interesting web sites development.

Youtube supports 15minutes video

YouTube says its Content ID system makes the extra five minutes possible. With all major movie studios and music labels using Content ID to sniff out copyrighted material, and the technology improved enough, YouTube can afford to relax the upload limit, which was introduced to keep pirated television shows and movies off the site. Content partners, such as CBS, have always been able to upload longer videos, including full-length television shows and feature films.

Fedora 14 on track

Fedora 14 is on track for a final release date of November 02, 2010. If all 14 does is improve upon 13, Fedora will have another winner on its hands. Why? Fedora 13 was one of the strongest releases the Red Hat sandbox has had in a while. And with what Fedora 14 has under and above its hood, the next release should up the ante yet again for the Fedora distribution.

But when you first read the list of features highlighted for Fedora 14, you might think the release is targeting developers. What with new and updated programming languages, simpler and faster debugging, and better developer tools the feature list looks like the only users would be those that actually develop the distribution or applications for the distribution.

Interesting Features:
* Desktop Virtualization with Spice
* The inclusion of NetBeans 6.9
* JavaFX SDK 1.3 and a new JavaFX Composer
* Support for the PHP Zend framework
* Support for Ruby on Rails 3.0.

Dell stops sell Linux

Barence writes "Dell has stopped selling consumer PCs preloaded with Ubuntu from its website, and doesn't know when they're coming back. A search for Ubuntu on the Dell UK website returns only one laptop — the Dell Latitude 2100 from the company's business range. Dell insists that it's continuing to sell Ubuntu systems, but only over the phone, and has no idea when — or even if — the Ubuntu PCs will return online. 'We've recently made an effort to simplify our offerings online, by focusing on our most popular bundles and configuration options, based on customer feedback for reduced complexity and a simple, easy purchase experience,' Dell told PC Pro. 'We're also making some changes to our Ubuntu pages, and as a result, they are currently available through our phone-based sales only.' The move comes after Dell put a page on its website advising customers only to go for Ubuntu if they were interested in open-source programming."
